This is why the no signal displayed on the TV stops showing and shows up again after a second.
If that display is set as a Active Display the Video Card will send a acknowledgment signal each time, causing the displays 1 minute no signal timer to keep being reset. But because the Display tries to find a signal also by Disabling/Enabling the HDMI Input Port every 10 seconds, causing it to Disconnect/Reconnect to the Computer. Sense no Sleep Signal is sent to the display, the display keeps tring to find a signal, which with this HDTV it should turn off after 1 minute of no Signal being found. This is because most Video Card Drivers are made to not send a Sleep Signal to displays detected as a HDTV. This even happens with Normal Computer Monitors that are connected with a HDMI cable. For all i know this whole problem could have nothing to do with the TV, but rather something with nVidia's Drivers not allowing the HDMI/Mini HDMI Connector on the Video Card to correctly be put to sleep by Windows.Īfter doing some looking around, I've found this problem to not only be with this HDTV but with most any Display connected with a HDMI cable of any type even a DVI-HDMI one, as the Video Card detects the display as a HDTV. Which with using a HDMI-Mini HDMI cable as its a Mini HDMI connector on my Geforce 460 GPU, id think it would do what it says for a HDMI-DVI and turn off after 1 minute of no Signal. I don't know if its the fact im using a HDMI-Mini HDMI cable to connect the TV to my Computer or what that is causing it to not enter Standby Mode or Turn off when theres no Signal as it should.
